My name is Jade, and I'm a passionate UX Designer and Researcher. I studied UXD and got my bachelor's in it (I have my grad picture hanging on my parents' wall and everything), and though it was VERY stressful at times, I couldn't imagine doing anything else- so far, it's been a committed 4-year relationship, and still going strong.
Sometimes, I like to think, "Why design?" because growing up, I always switched between what I wanted to be: a vet, a lawyer and even a historian. So what about design stuck in my brain? I realized it in my 3rd year. I love UX Design because it combines so much: research, art, technology, critical thinking, psychology, etc. I will always be learning, growing, and helping others in this field.
A bit about me: I'm from the sister islands of Trinidad and Tobago and came to Canada almost 3 years ago. Though it was a drastic change, I love it, from the city life to my friends and the culture. When it comes to design, I like to say I've been a designer since the day I first picked up a paintbrush, so I think that's what initially drew me to UX design. You can find me walking around the city, trying out new restaurants, or journeling away on a park bench.
